Justin has many years’ experience creating, leading and developing teams in the supply of software and business management systems into the construction sector. Justin previously headed up the Cloud Division at IRIS Software accelerating adoption of online bookkeeping through the accountancy channel; has spent many years with Integrity Software transforming them into a more customer centric business; and prior to that launched an AIM listed online risk management business. Justin has a deep understanding of construction, accounting and compliance software, and an unwavering desire to deliver solutions that make users’ lives easier and their businesses more profitable.

With over 20 years of expertise in Customer Service and People Management, including 14 years dedicated to the software solutions industry, Rachel is a seasoned professional in delivering exceptional customer care and service standards. At Eque2, Rachel oversees the implementation of new projects and leads the technical support function for Enterprise and SMB teams. Her strategic focus is on enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty through innovative service improvements. Before joining Eque2, Rachel served as Customer Services Director at Yotta Ltd, where she spent 13 years spearheading business improvement and transformation initiatives. Specialising in asset management solutions for the public sector, she built high-performing teams and consistently championed exceptional customer experiences.

James trained at Deloitte and has held senior finance leadership roles across technology‑enabled and private equity‑backed businesses. His previous positions include Group Financial Controller, Senior Director of FP&A, and Interim Chief Financial Officer. Most recently James was at IRIS Software, supporting the business through a period of significant growth, M&A activity, and value creation culminating in an exit at a $4bn enterprise value.

At Eque2, James works closely with the Board, executive team, investors, and lenders to drive informed decision‑making, disciplined capital allocation, and sustainable long‑term value creation. His remit spans end‑to‑end financial leadership, including value‑driven planning and reporting, financial control, M&A and capital allocation, cash and working‑capital optimisation, risk and compliance, and acting as a strategic partner to the executive team in delivering growth. He is passionate about data‑driven insight and the effective adoption of AI‑enabled solutions across the business.

Richard is an experienced marketer in the technology sector working primarily within software companies, starting at Integrity Software where Richard revolutionised customer and new business marketing within the company’s construction division, and more recently at NetSuite, the global cloud ERP vendor, helping to drive substantial growth of the EMEA region. Richard brings his creative, structured and innovative approach to his team at Eque2 along with construction industry knowledge and experience.

Peter is a highly commercially focused Chief Product & Technology Officer with over 25 years of board-level experience within Private Equity-backed software companies. Throughout his career, Peter has specialised in partnering with investors to define and execute growth strategies that transform technology into a primary driver of customer benefit and impact, while also driving enterprise value. He has a distinguished track record of delivering high-impact results for B2B SaaS companies across many sectors including Pharmaceuticals and Commercial Maritime Shipping.

He has successfully completed five exits by focusing on Product Strategy, product roadmap delivery, managing technical debt and the adoption of AI. All driving real beneficial business impact for customers.

Strategic commercial leader with 30+ years’ experience across construction, infrastructure and ConTech, bringing together hands-on operational leadership with deep industry expertise. He has a proven track record of scaling SaaS and technology businesses through disciplined go-to-market execution, recurring revenue growth, and building high-performing teams across the UK and international markets. Operating at board, MD and executive level, Jason has led business transformation with full accountability for P&L performance, sales strategy, customer success and operational delivery. A trusted advisor to construction and technology businesses, he has supported contractors, infrastructure organisations and digital transformation initiatives across the built environment. Known for a transparent, customer-first leadership style, he aligns people, product and commercial strategy to drive sustainable growth.

Sarah Crawford is Managing Director – Estimating at Eque2 and has spent more than 20 years helping construction businesses embrace technology that improves commercial performance, drives efficiency and supports better decision-making. Having worked with organisations across 23 countries, she brings extensive experience of supporting contractors of all sizes as they modernise commercial processes and adopt digital solutions. Sarah was a founding member of Chalkstring, the cloud-based estimating and cost management platform for specialist contractors, and later led the business as Managing Director through to its successful acquisition by Eque2. Today, she is responsible for shaping the strategy and development of next-generation estimating technology, working closely with customers to ensure software solves real industry challenges and delivers practical value for construction businesses. Known for her customer-centric approach and deep industry knowledge, Sarah is passionate about helping construction companies achieve greater commercial control through smarter technology.

Doug Openshaw is Managing Director – Enterprise at Eque2, bringing more than 13 years of experience helping some of the UK’s largest construction organisations improve project performance, strengthen commercial control and achieve better business outcomes through technology. Having worked closely with contractors and housebuilders across the industry, he combines deep knowledge of construction operations with a practical understanding of the challenges businesses face as they grow and evolve. Doug has played a key role in supporting large construction businesses  on their digital transformation journeys, helping them gain greater visibility, control and confidence across their commercial and financial operations. With a deep understanding of both construction and technology, Doug is helping shape the next generation of solutions that give enterprise contractors greater control over performance, profitability and risk. 

Rupinder is an experienced HR Director with a strong track record of working in private equity-backed and high-growth SaaS businesses. She’s built her career partnering closely with leadership teams to scale organisations, strengthen performance, and put the right people foundations in place to support growth.

At Eque2, Rupinder works closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to align the people strategy with the company’s growth ambitions. She leads the development of scalable HR infrastructure, including systems, data, and governance, ensuring the business is equipped to grow sustainably. Her remit covers the full employee lifecycle, from attraction and onboarding through to performance, engagement, and development, alongside overseeing complex employee relations and compliance.

Rupinder is known for being practical, commercially focused, and hands-on. She’s passionate about creating clarity as the business grows – whether that’s through better data, stronger processes, or equipping managers to lead with confidence.
