2017 proved to be another hugely successful year for Eque2 as we again grew considerably and added over 200 new customers to our growing community. In this article we summarise some of the headlines from the year at Eque2.

Welcoming New Customers

With now over 1,400 customers using our range of construction and contracting software, we welcomed new users from all corners of the sector across our full range of specialist solutions which cover the full project lifecycle.

For example, we welcomed Ardmac to the Eque2 community who are a leading suppliers of high quality fit-outs, specialised refurbishments, and turn-key construction of manufacturing facilities across Europe. After careful consideration, they chose our EVision construction accounting software to assist them with their digital transformation.

Our Construct for Sage software continues to be one of the most adopted solutions for small to medium sized businesses with over 150 new customers welcomed this year including Kimpton, Landform, Hazelwood Carpentry Contractors and Nova Construction. The software ensures they have full visibility and control of their costs, and most importantly their business. You can see all the new customers we have welcomed on our news page.

To EValuate, our dedicated estimating software, we welcomed a number of new users including Lindum Group who spent time researching and rigorously testing many of the most popular estimating solutions in the marketplace. Although some of the Estimators at Lindum  had used these solutions in the past, the consensus was that EValuate would best meet the company’s requirements.

Ogilvie Homes, a leading property developer in Scotland selected our Housebuilding software in 2017. Having considered other options, Ogilvie Homes found the functionality provided by our solution was unrivalled in the marketplace and would allow them to use a single integrated solution to effectively manage all elements of the house building process.

Eque2 Roadshow

We introduced a new event for our valued customers in 2017 – the Eque2 Roadshow! These events gave our customers the opportunity to learn more about our latest product updates, get hands on experience with innovative solutions from our partners and speak directly to our product experts. In October, we held our first Roadshow in Edinburgh at the BT Murrayfield Stadium and our second in London at Twickenham Stadium in November. We are pleased to say the events were well received and we have planned more for 2018.

Developing Modern Technology

We pride ourselves on developing solutions which solve real-world challenges for our customers utilising the latest technologies available. In 2017 we launched two new mobile apps. Our Construct Mobile Delivery Notes app allows your team on-site to record deliveries made to site and report them back to Construct for Sage software in real time. Our Housebuilding Mobile Tick Sheets app allows surveyors and site managers to record the progress for each cost area with or without wireless access, and report this back to the Build module within Eque2 Housebuilding.

Expanding Our Product Offering

In 2017 we also extended our product portfolio by acquiring the Miracle Dynamics Payroll Solution, the market leading solution for enterprise payroll and human resources management (HRM) technology for Microsoft Dynamics. Wes Simmons, Vice Chairman of Eque2 commented, “As long-term partners of Miracle, we saw an exceptional opportunity to bring two businesses together to create a unique offering within the Microsoft Dynamics NAV marketplace”.

Working With Best Of Breed Partners

Eque2 also continues to partner with other best of breed suppliers within the construction industry to enhance our product offering to customers. This includes working with the likes of Secura, experts in SaaS hosting and supporting web applications that are critical to business processes and Group BC, leading providers of BIM collaboration solutions.

Remastering The Future With CIOB

In June, we were approached by CIOB and ITN Productions to create a short film as part of their ‘Remastering the Future’ series. Of course we couldn’t let this opportunity pass so we asked our customer SJE Carpentry & Joinery Ltd to help us out. Together with CIOB and ITN Productions, we created a short film showing how SJE use EValuate and Construct for Sage day to day. You can read about this in more detail and watch the video here.

2017 was a successful year for Eque2 as the business expanded, new customers joined and existing customers were celebrated. We look forward to seeing what 2018 has in store!
