Fisk Group (Fisk) are fire and security contractors, operating from Essex. Fisk were originally using Sage 50 Accounts for their accounting needs, alongside Sage Projects and manual spreadsheets for their entire job costing processes. Fisk were looking to find a more efficient method of recording Variations, so that when they bill clients, they are able to charge for both labour and materials accurately.
After seeing a demonstration of Construct for Sage, Fisk were able to recognise how they could also track Retentions moving forward and report on when they have been under. Opting for the additional Construct Mobile Time Sheets app, Fisk can now also electronically track employee timesheets, removing the need to chase, collate, enter and import timesheets manually.
Echo Construction Group Ltd
Echo Construction Group Ltd (Echo Construction) are renovation contractors that specialise in residential improvements and commercial property fit-outs. Using Sage 50 alongside spreadsheets, Echo Construction were concerned with their process of raising purchase orders as they were struggling to link their cost codes and invoices received to their projects. Being reliant on manually inputted data across multiple spreadsheets to conduct CVR reports, Echo Construction were finding themselves unable to project the profitability of their projects with live data. With plans to grow the business, they sought to address their inefficient, time-consuming job costing processes.
Echo Construction initially approached Eque2 as they required a solution that could integrate with their current Sage 50 accounts package. Using Construct for Sage 50, Echo Construction are now able to conduct client billing, CIS payments to subcontractors, CVR and WIP reports in a streamlined experience without having to duplicate data between multiple spreadsheets.
Calumet Services Ltd
Calumet Services Ltd (Calumet) are mechanical building services engineers, providing commercial heating, plumbing and ventilation services across the UK. Calumet previously used Sage 50 Accounts alongside Sage Projects & manual spreadsheets for the businesses entire job costing processes, with plans to expand, Calumet quickly recognised that their current processes were inefficient as they were duplicating and double handling data between their systems.
The business was eager to find a solution that could integrate with their Sage Accounts package, which they were familiar with and trusted. The business called in Eque2 to demo its Construct for Sage solution and shortly after opted to implement both Construct and its range of mobile apps including, mobile delivery notes, timesheets and invoice capture.
Down To Earth Demolition Ltd
Down To Earth Demolition Ltd (DTE) are a family-run demolition and asbestos removal contractor. DTE were initially using Sage 50 Accounts alongside manual spreadsheets for their specific contract job costing needs. Having increased their turnover significantly in the last four years, DTE were looking for a solution that could enable them to easily track Applications and Retentions, correctly valuing each stage of a project, whilst being able to convert a project into an invoice.
DTE required a more efficient solution that could enable them to be able to gain accurate CVR and WIP reports, while reducing the time their accounts team have to spend keying in data, with ambitions to exceed the three million turnover mark in the near future. Using Construct for Sage, DTE no longer have to maintain multiple spreadsheets to track their applications and retentions and are able to see live WIP and CVR reports.
