B & K Systems Ltd

B & K Systems Ltd (B & K) are a long-established floor and wall solutions contractor based in West Yorkshire. B & K operate with an annual turnover of £15 million specialising in fit-out, partitions & ceilings, screed systems, floor finishes and plastering systems services.

B & K were initially using construction-specific software from RedSky, however they wanted to explore their options on the market before investing in another upgrade of their existing software. B & K approached Eque2 as they were considering the benefits of moving from an older construction accounting solution to our Construct for Sage software linking into Sage Accounts.

During their online demonstration of Construct for Sage Accounts, the accounts team at B & K saw how they could easily control costs, forecast jobs, manage project variations, subcontractors, and retentions.  Along with the greater ease of use to their existing software, the ability to utilise powerful reporting and genuine business intelligence in real-time across all activity was a significant improvement to the features made available by their existing software provider.

Following their decision to select Construct for Sage Accounts to replace their previous RedSky software, B & K opted for the Construct for Sage Mobile App, linking the site and office teams to enable them to manage deliveries, raise PO’s, manage plant hire and approvals while on site.

 

TPT Fire Projects Limited

TPT Fire Projects Limited (TPT) are a fire and security systems contractor based in Hampshire. Operating with an annual turnover of £4.5 million, TPT were using Sage 50 Cloud alongside manual spreadsheets to manage their contracts and job costing but were looking for a new solution that could help them better manage their projects.

The financial controller at TPT was comparing the benefits of moving their accounting package to Sage 200 for the additional project accounting features against the advantages of selecting Eque2’s Construct for Sage 50 Accounts add-on job costing software.

Following a demonstration of the Construct for Sage software, the Financial Controller at TPT was able to see how adopting the system would allow them to substantially reduce staff time by automating the process of client billing and retention management.
