With the construction industry still facing challenges due to the fluctuating cost and delays of materials, more companies are looking forward to see how they can reduce risk, increase efficiency and remain profitable by adopting construction-specific software.
Over the last month, we’ve spoken to a wide array of companies who are looking to:
- Move important processes (such as job costing) away from Excel Spreadsheets.
- Report accurately on every aspect of their jobs in real-time.
- Track applications for payments and retentions held to ensure prompt payments.
Eque2 are pleased to welcome 26 new companies in March, read on to see what some of these companies have chosen our range of construction-specific solutions ….
Multipave (NW) LTD
Multipave is a North West based road surfacing contractor, carrying out machine and hand lay surfacing. They specialise in main carriageway surfacing, retail park, housing estates, schools, footpaths, car parks, forecourts, tennis courts, basketball courts and coloured asphalt.
Before discovering Eque2, Multipave were using a range of manual spreadsheets to manage their construction job costing processes, including managing applications, reporting and contractor management. However, they found that duplication was a massive issue and they found it difficult to track the status of payments and how their projects were performing.
Therefore, Multipave entered the construction-software market and found Eque2; shortly after an online demonstration was arranged. During the demo, they saw how Construct for Sage 50 Accounts would help eliminate the chance of human error through processing as the solution would keep an audit trail of transactions entered whilst also providing automations and warnings for processes such as an invoice taking a contract over budget etc. They also saw how they could report on any aspect of their jobs in real-time, including applications, retentions, work in progress (WIP) and plant hire.
After the demo, Multipave purchased Construct for Sage 50 Accounts to protect their accounting processes from human error, reducing risk whilst also increasing the efficiency of their back-office staff. The software will also provide an insight into the performance of their projects in real-time.
Mansfield Pollard Co. Ltd
Mansfield Pollard are air management experts who are experts in temperature control, the removal of pollutants or limiting noise. From hospitals to hospitality and swimming pools to server rooms, Mansfield Pollard design, manufacture and install solutions throughout the UK.
In the past, MP (Mansfield Pollard) were using Sage Job Costing alongside excel. However, with support ending for Sage Job Costing ending in September 2021, MP was concerned with the validity of their data and the risks associated with using an unsupported product. After Discovering Eque2, a call was arranged to assess their needs.
The business was looking to move forward with a cloud-based job-costing solution that would allow them to access the software from any location, on any device and remove the need for any expensive IT infrastructure. They also wanted all of their processes managed within one fully integrated solution that would remove any risk from duplication whilst also managing their purchase orders and provide a greater insight into the performance of their projects through reporting to increase efficiency. It was also important that they stuck with their Sage Accounting solution so the integration for them was key.
During the demonstration of Eque2’s Construct for Sage Accounts, MP saw how they could benefit from a wide variety of reports to track and assess every aspect of a project. Furthermore, with automations and warnings, Construct nullifies the risk of errors and reduces human duplication.
The integration with Sage Accounts is seamless meaning they don’t have to move away from their existing accounts solution.
The business was also impressed by the range of mobile apps the software offered, such as a mobile delivery notes app they could provide to their workers on-site to see what goods have turned up on-site, in relation to purchase orders and invoices they have been asked to pay.
After the demonstration, Mansfield Pollard purchased Construct Cloud, alongside the Construct Mobile Delivery Notes App.
