GGK Contracts

GGK Contracts is a civil engineer and groundworks contractor based in Scotland, with over 20 years of industry experience, GGK have built a solid foundation and a reputation for providing reliable, and dedicated services on their projects. Eque2 was selected to replace a lot of the manual processes and spreadsheets GGK had in place, and to completely reduce the duplication after years of growth experienced by the company. Implementing Construction for Sage provides them with a platform to continue that growth with consistent processes and an accurate view of their contracts.

e-wire Northern

e-wire are a one-stop shop for all housing and commercial developers in the North-East of England, based in Middlesbrough, e-wire provide services ranging from Plumping, Electrical, Heating and Renewables. A key objective for e-wire was the improve the accuracy of reporting used by the management team. To help achieve this, Construction for Sage includes a dedicated excel based reporting tool called ICA (Intelligent Construction Analysis) alongside a suite of standard reporting templates. This tool will provide ultimate visibility and reporting from all the required angles by the team at e-wire.

Phoenix Mechanical

Phoenix Mechanical Ltd are a Design & Build building services contractor, based in Nottingham. Phoenix operate across the UK, and offer a full range of environmental engineering services encompassing air conditioning, heating, ventilation and public health services. Phoenix Mechanical selected Eque2 to streamline their business and to provide them with one integrated system they can use to manage plant hire, applications for payments, client billing and sub-contractor management. A common issue experienced by many of the construction firms we work with is the desire to consolidate disparate software applications and reduce the number of spreadsheets used within the business. By doing this, key processes such as application and retentions can be accurately tracked, saving the business money it may otherwise had missed.

Air Design Systems (ADS) were established in 1993, and are based in Newcastle. ADS has consistently grown throughout the years, which has resulted in them being involved in the nation’s most prestigious projects. ADS selected Eque2 for its ability to track retentions owed to the business, and raise applications accurately and at the right time to ensure they are paid on time. This is a critical process for construction companies to manage, as managing them in spreadsheets can result in the loss of money owed to the business which has a detrimental impact on cash flow and expected revenue.

Building Envelope Solutions

Building Envelope Solutions were established in 2011, and are based in Daventry, Northamptonshire. Building Envelope Solutions specialise in Curtain walling, Structural Glazing, Automated entrances and Windows and Doors. Building Envelope Solutions were looking to streamline their business and the key factors behind their decision were the ability to accurately record GRN (Good Received Notes) alongside Purchase Ordering so they have an accurate picture of what has turned up to site versus which was originally ordered and ultimately invoiced. The ICA (Intelligent Construction Analysis) reporting tool alongside Construction for Sage was the perfect tool for interrogating this data further by seeing the breakdown of costs by individual Contract, Customer and Supplier.

Gilpin Demolition Group Ltd

Gilpin Demolition Group Ltd is a specialist demolition services contractor based in Devon, Gilpin Demolition Group consist of Gilpin Environmental and Gilpin Scrap Metals. The company is a key player in the UK, operating in highly regulated environments. Gilpin selected Eque2 for a more robust and stable integrated contract management solution. By continuing the use Sage accounts alongside their new Construction for Sage solution, Gilpin can continue to receive the same quality of product and service they are used to with Sage, but now with the added benefit of a construction-specific contract costing tool from Eque2 to eliminate spreadsheets and streamline processes.

MBS Construction Ltd

MBS Construction is a family run business based in Waltham Abbey, Essex. MBS are civil contractors serving the utilities industry, and help to build and maintain the utility infrastructure needed to support a prosperous economy. Eque2 was selected to help keep track of costs of labour only subcontractors and hired vs. owned plant on projects. Construction for Sage allows for the detailed management of using subcontractors so CIS can be automatically calculated and the relevant checks are in place so subcontractors and verified with the correct insurances. MBS will now benefit from being able to keep track of their plant usage and be automatically notified when items onsite are due back, before unplanned costs occur. Overall it was felt that Eque2 will provide MBS with better visibility and tracking of costs on projects.

Network Security & Alarms Ltd

Network Security & Alarms Ltd is a specialist contractor offering fire detection and security systems, established in 1994, and based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Network Security and Alarms Ltd has achieved NSI Gold Status, which is only given to companies who meet the security industries highest standards. Eque2 was selected in a bid to streamline the business and their processes from raising the initial quotation right through to final accounts. Construction for Sage will act as a detailed contract costing tool which will allow Network Security to track costs in real-time against projects so that they can view true profitability throughout the whole project lifecycle.
