Imperial Facades Ltd

Imperial Facades is a UK based specialist facade contractor based in Southampton. The business specialises in upgrading existing buildings to complex and large-scale new builds, offering a complete end-to-end service. Prior to selecting Eque2, Imperial Facades used manual spreadsheets for their entire job costing and accounting processes. As the business continued to grow, it was keen to centralise accounting processes by implementing Sage Accounts. In addition, the business also required a construction-specific job costing solution which would then integrate into its newly chosen accounts package. Before implementing Eque2, the business faced a number of issues with their current processes such as being unable to see committed and accrued costs resulting in the business having a lack of visibility over its cash flow, which in turn slowed down any decision making and made it difficult to judge how well a project was performing. Gears UK (Groundsure Enabling & Remediation Services)

Gears UK (Gears) provide remediation and construction solutions to both the commercial and private sectors, working alongside leading housebuilders, civil engineers and groundworks specialists. Prior to selecting Eque2, Gears used manual spreadsheets for its job costing alongside Sage Accounts. They were facing issues with cost control which were very difficult to manage and track within spreadsheets. Reporting was another major issue within the business and it was taking so long to pull reports that they were outdated by the time they were collated; the business required a system that could provide information at hand in real-time to support decision making and to help grow the business further. With the Gears UK using Sage Accounts, which was liked internally they decided to call in Eque2 to demo Construct for Sage Accounts. After a successful demonstration, the business pressed ahead with placing an order and will now use Construct to manage subcontractor CIS, retentions, plant hire and client billing. In addition to the above, Gears UK will also use the Invoice Capture module, which will allow it to electrically store documents making them easier to find and help lead the business towards a paperless office. The Delivery Note App was also selected alongside Construct helping join up on-site teams with the back office to record deliveries made to site.

 

Southeast Electrical Contractors Group Ltd

Southeast Electrical Contractors Group Ltd (Southeast Electrical) are an electrical subcontractor specialising on projects ranging from £50k to £2million. Prior to adopting Construct for Sage Accounts, Southeast Electrical used Amtech, a specific solution for electrical calculations, for its job costing processes. As the business grew, it recognised it required a more functionally rich solution that was better value for money and provided better support for its team members. One of the business’ main issues was not having real time information at hand combined with difficulty tracking ordering v budgeted costs. Having gone to market to review job costing specific software, the business invited Eque2 to demo its Construct solution allowing Southeast Electrical to see the features and benefits the business could take advantage of. The directors of the business alongside their trusted accountant unanimously recognised the benefits of Construct and placed an order for the solution. The business can now ensure knowledge of any overspend is captured and notified at source, therefore if budget is exceeded variations are adequately captured, giving the management team enough information to ensure a project doesn’t become a loss. Retentions and plant hire will also be managed within the new system so costs are not incurred unnecessarily on hired plant, and that adequate measures are put in place, so retentions aren’t forgotten about and can be chased when due.
