Aston Environmental is a national turnkey provider of water, air and building services. Prior to selecting Eque2, Aston Environmental used Sage Accounts alongside CLiPIT and several manual spreadsheets. The business used several workarounds for its client billing which was causing duplication and excessive effort from the accounts team. Retentions were also managed manually in spreadsheets and provided very little visibility. Aston reviewed its accounting and job costing systems and ultimately decided it would not be changing its accounts package away from Sage. This led the business to review construction-specific job costing software that would work alongside the businesses Sage Accounts package. Aston reviewed Eque2’s Construct for Sage 50 solution and recognised how the software would provide one version of the truth and would provide the business with the detailed information it needed in real-time, at the click of a button, allowing Aston to be aware of where it stood on each of its individual projects.
Bainbridge Electrical Ltd
Bainbridge is an electrical engineering contractor with an excellent reputation for quality craftsmanship. Prior to selecting Eque2, Bainbridge Electrical also used Sage Accounts alongside Sage’s Job Costing module. The business’ main issues stemmed from reporting, subcontractors and stock management. Bainbridge carry out a vast amount of labour-only projects, for which it also uses several different subcontractors. Bainbridge wanted to manage its subcontractors and stock more efficiently whilst also being able to report on both to help support business decisions. The business called in Eque2 to demonstrate its Construct for Sage 50 job costing solution and quickly recognised how the built-in reporting functionality namely the WIP (Work in Progress) reports would help the business make accurate and swift decisions moving forward. The management of subcontractors will also be carried out in the new software, which will allow Bainbridge to bill and verify subcontractors. The new system also allows the business to add stock and accurately manage its stock levels ensuring it bills accurately for any stock used on projects.
RCA Construction is a building services and construction business renowned for delivering award-winning projects. Prior to selecting Eque2, RCA was using Xero for its accounting purposes alongside several manual spreadsheets for its job costing, the business suffered from vast amounts of duplication and expensive repercussions stemming from poor tracking of purchase orders and unaligned management of timesheets. Seeking a construction-specific job costing solution to take away the issues the business was facing, Eque2 were called in to demonstrate its Construct for Sage 50 solution and how it would resolve the issues faced by the business.
