At Eque2 we are always excited to welcome new users of our construction management software to our community, particularly when they have opted to integrate both our Construct for Sage Accounts and EValuate solutions into their operations.
In this article, we will be looking at how three of Eque2’s new customers will be using our software in their contract cost management and estimating processes to increase their profit margins by utilising greater efficiency.
Whittle Interiors Ltd
Whittle Interiors operate in carpentry and joinery and had recently formed following a management buyout from Interserve. They were unsatisfied with the software they were using previously, and they initially approached Eque2 to replace their software with Construct for Sage Accounts as they were seeking a solution that could capture their labour costs on each stage of their projects. Our Mobile Time Sheet app was one of the crucial features which Whittle Interiors required for this and they were highly keen to work the app into their own processes.
Once they had decided to select Construct for Sage, they could see real value in having both their contract cost management software and their estimating software working in conjunction with each other, having found their former estimating software Mentor disjointed to their overall processes.
They wanted the ability to approve invoices within the system before they are sent to approve invoices within the system before they are sent to Sage to be paid. Using the Invoice Capture module within Construct for Sage, they will now be able to keep track of all their invoices which will enable them to also reduce their storage costs.
C&D Electrical Contractors Ltd
C&D provide electrical and mechanical engineering services. C&D were originally using a combination of Sage 50 and spreadsheets to conduct their contract management and a system called Electrika for their estimating solution. This process left them discontent as they were looking to utilise their estimates as a basis for their projects.
Having selected Construct for Sage 50 Accounts and EValuate, C&D’s estimating team can look forward to being fully connected with their live projects. This enables better handover between the two teams which allows them to speed up the ordering process with one-click, whilst knowing exactly what materials they will need to order while cutting out duplication and double-handling information.
David Flynn Building Contractors
David Flynn are a large regional contractor based in Waterford, Ireland. They were originally using Sage 50 alongside spreadsheets however, their head office had zero visibility on what was being ordered from where and they sought full visibility on the cost of all their projects. A key factor in David Flynn’s decision to incorporate Construct for Sage 50 Accounts and EValuate into their system was the ability to have a centralised purchase order that will provide them with significant foresight on each of their projects so that they have early visibility of what will happen on each project.
