SHEco Automotive Systems select Construct for integrated job costing with Sage

SHEco Automotive Systems (SHEco) provide a vast array of fluid fill and end of line test technology. SHEco are also the UK representative for FIVES Filling and Sealing, with over 20 years of industry experience, the business provides fluid bulk storage & distribution, project management, end of line testing equipment and water testing.

Prior to selecting Eque2, SHEco used Sage Accounts for its accounting procedures and Sage Job Costing alongside manual spreadsheets for its contract job costing processes.

The business opted to review its internal processes seeking to drive better efficiencies and time savings. SHEco decided it did not want to move its accounting processes away from Sage Accounts and initially reviewed the market, specifically seeking a solution that would integrate into its existing Sage 50 accounts package.

The business experienced a number of hurdles whilst using manual spreadsheets, such as duplication and reporting inefficiencies. SHEco struggled to extract the information it needed and lacked a clear picture of costs associated with projects. The business also found tracking committed, accrued and actual costs difficult.

Eque2 were recommended to SHEco, who initially began by requesting a bespoke software demonstration to identify how Eque2’s Construct would help SHEco create time efficiencies, cost savings and overcome the challenges the business was facing. After a successful software demonstration, SHEco quickly recognised the benefits that Construct would provide the business.

Reporting was a challenge for SHEco prior to adopting Construct however, the business is satisfied that it now has real-time visibility of costs, which in turn improves management reports helping the management team with decision making based on accurate, easy to pull reports.

SHEco ultimately recognises how Construct would improve real-time costings and reduce double-entry of data reducing the business’s reliance on spreadsheets. Additional features SHEco intend to use going forward include tracking its internal and external plant hire, as well as the management of its subcontractors.
