The 12th of June saw us hold our 2024 Customer User Day at The British Motor Museum in Warwick, where our senior-leadership team and product specialists presented the evolution of our product suite and advancements in functionality.
Steven Ratcliffe, our Chief Product and Technology Officer, alongside Rachel Corfield, our Customer Services Director, kicked off the day with an update on Eque2, illustrating how we intend to continually investments in our products, people and services to ensure customers are receiving the best quality service.
Supporting customers across the construction sector, we were joined by Allan Wilen, Economics Director at Glenigan where he provided an illuminating assessment of the current shape of the construction industry, including public and private sector forecasts and a prediction of increasing confidence in the housing market as the year progresses.
Modernising Construct for Sage Accounts
To kick off the session, our Construct for Sage Accounts users were joined by Steven Ratcliffe once again, who shared our exciting plans for Construct for Sage – he discussed the various areas we are investing in for Construct’s evolution, including new developments in the user interface to enhance usability and the benefits of transitioning to our cloud-based version.
Our leading product specialist, Anthony Edwards, Head of Presales, showed what customers can gain from moving to our Cloud-based solution, such as customised report generation, enhanced approval workflows, improved data entry and simplified searching filters. Additionally, Rachael Cole, Eque2’s Head of Customer Experience guided everyone through the carefully crafted three-month onboarding journey, ensuring that moving to the cloud is as seamless as possible.
We caught up with one of our customers, Kelsie Hawkridge, The Commercial Flooring Company who recently transitioned from our server-based solution to Construct for Sage Cloud. Since moving, The Commercial Flooring Company has been able to work more collaboratively with their office and working from home staff, Kelsie carried on to say, “moving to Construct for Sage in the Cloud, has been amazing because we can now report on projects when were not able to before. Moving to Construct for Sage Cloud has allowed our project managers to check their project performance in one place, and it’s instant and live. It’s just brilliant”.
Support EVision, for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Customers to the Cloud
Meanwhile, EVision (built within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) users had the chance to hear the latest news from Microsoft including how they support customers transitioning to a digital environment. This was followed by a walkthrough of the EVision product roadmap and a chance to explore what the future of EVision cloud looks like, as well as key developments regarding EValuate and Housebuilding from our very own product expert, Sean Allen.
Perhaps the most popular part of the day for EVision customers was when Stonebond’s Innovation and Communications Director, Ed Cherry, and Group IT & Systems Manager, Matt Blackmore kindly took to the floor to share their experience of the company’s move to EVision cloud and the key drivers that had convinced their rapidly expanding business it was time to make the leap.
Edd Cherry, “ We decided to move to the Cloud off of the back of an IT strategy we implemented in 2022, following that we wanted to make sure all of our systems integrated to help make the business more efficient and ensure our disaster recovery was improved.”
He continued to explain “the benefits of moving (EVision) to the Cloud is the integration into Microsoft suite and the benefits of reporting that helped all of our operational regions.”
The Future of Housebuilding
Users of Eque2’s Housebuilding solution were joined by our Head of Enterprise Product Tom Marsden, alongside Sales Director Doug Openshaw to walk through the future strategy of our Housebuilding product suite. Our Housebuilding customers had the opportunity to provide valuable feedback to help enhance the development of our Housebuilding modules, ensuring our products meet their evolving needs and priorities.
Tom Marsden remarked, “We are extremely excited about the evolution of our Housebuilding product and the benefits it will bring to both new and existing customers. It is crucial for us to listen to our customers’ feedback, ensuring that their needs remain at the core of our solution.”
Hints & Tips for Construct for Sage & EVision Users
In the afternoon, attendees were able to learn more about getting the most out of their Construct for Sage and EVision investments. These interactive sessions with our product experts not only provided useful hints and tips but also gave an insight into Eque2’s entire range of solutions that can support customers’ businesses as they continue to grow and evolve.
A Chance To Visit The Museum
The day finished with many of the attendees taking the opportunity to explore the wonderful exhibits the museum holds, from the huge array of classic British sports cars and incredible prototypes to famous cars including the Land Rover Defender used in the opening sequence of the James Bond Skyfall movie, the fabulously pink FAB 1 from Thunderbirds, and even a replica of the DeLorean from Back to the Future 2.
