Eque2 provide construction businesses with financial, contract management and estimating software and are market leaders in our sector. All of our new business is sold on an MRR basis and deployed on Cloud solutions.

£19M turnover and growing rapidly with offices in Maidenhead, Newcastle and Farnham. This role can be based anywhere in the UK although our primary ‘sales offices’ are in Maidenhead and Newcastle.

This role is a new business sales position selling mid-market financial and business management software specifically for the construction sector. Outlined below are the products typically sold;

  • Construct for Sage 50/200
  • Sage 200
  • Enterprise class estimating and commercial management suite

You will be working primarily with contractors which turnover around £3m – £30m talking to Finance Directors, Commercial Directors and Managing Directors.

Role overview

  • Initial contact of lead and qualification of requirements
  • Work with pre-sales team to create a demonstration based around the requirements identified from business discovery
  • Create business specific proposal with detailed emphasis on explicit business needs
  • Coordinate follow up sessions and control the sales process
  • Follow up, negotiate and close
  • Handover to professional services and finance teams to ensure smooth entry into customer lifecycle
  • Supporting lead generation and marketing team

Pre-requisites / must haves

  • Excellent understanding of the mid-market sales process
  • Ability to understand how to identify needs in meetings and create specific proposals to replay solutions
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • Highly credible with directors and end users alike
  • Solution sales experience of business management software – exceeding quota
  • Very comfortable forecasting on a weekly basis
  • Negotiation and deal control skills

Advantageous to have (needs to have at least 1 from 3)

  • Experience selling financial or commercial management software solutions
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 and/or Sage 200 Financials
  • Experience selling into, and knowledge of the issues facing the construction or contracting industries
